Individual sessions with Heather

I work with adolescents (12 and older) and adults in individual therapy. If you’d like to meet in person, my office is in the Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. If you are outside of Los Angeles or prefer to meet virtually, I do video and phone sessions as well. Some of the issues I help clients with are feeling anxious, working through a life transition, relationship difficulties, feeling low or unhappy, and sleep difficulties. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) tools, relational psychology, and mindfulness techniques, depending on the needs of my clients.

If you’re a teen, it can really help to have a person to talk to about friends, school, family dynamics, and feelings. Teenagehood is a busy and exciting time and it can also be overwhelming. Anxiety, low energy or motivation, sleep loss, and feelings of depression are common — and it’s really good to enlist help.

I work with high schoolers, college students, and young adults (did you know that adolescence is actually all the way from ages 12-25?!)
